The firm of Johnson & Mohr CPAs has its origins in Yamhill County as far back as 1950. After 30+ years serving the local community, Steve Fitzpatrick officially retired in June 2020. After his retirement, Kyle Johnson was joined with Josh Mohr to continute the firm for generations to come.
With over eight years of experience in public accounting, my primary focus is to provide clients with accurate tax return preparation, clear explanations of complex tax issues, and robust tax planning and projections. I work with a wide array of clients ranging from individuals, to trusts and estates, to small businesses.
My understanding of the accounting implications for individuals, business, estates, and trusts, has equipped me with the ability to provide clients with financial clarity and guidance. Beyond this, the most enjoyable part of my work is building relationships with people and working as a team to aid in their success.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California and came to Oregon in 2005 to attend George Fox University and play baseball. I graduated from George Fox in 2009 with two bachelor degrees, Business Administration Finance and Accounting. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. I have also volunteered as a youth baseball coach.
Outside of my time in the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife Haley and our three boys, Kaden, Kolby, and Kaleb. We enjoy taking in a Ducks victory during the fall months and cheering on the San Diego Padres during the spring and summer as well as visiting the Oregon Coast.
I recently joined the firm to build my career in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Josh Mohr is a CPA and has been in public accounting since 2012. Josh obtained an Associate degree from Central Oregon Community College in Bend Oregon, then transferred to Linfield College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. While at Linfield, Josh graduated magna cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. He was also awarded the 2013 Outstanding Accounting Student of the year award by the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). After graduating from Linfield in December 2012, Josh jumped into his first full time public accounting position, and tax season, with Delap LLP, a large CPA firm in Lake Oswego. Shortly following his first tax season, Josh studied and passed all four parts of the CPA exam. As a CPA, Josh primarily provides accounting and tax services to private small and mid-sized business in a variety of industries including service, farming, legal, technology, and manufacturing. Josh serves his clients well by providing proactive solutions to the unique needs of his clients.
Before becoming an accountant, Josh began his early adult life as a custom carpenter building high end wood furniture, doors, fireplace mantles, and other works of art as a lead carpenter with a custom home builder (Norman Building & Design) in Bend, Oregon. His masterpieces can still be seen on Houzz, and also scattered around upscale communities throughout Central Oregon. When Josh isn’t busy crunching numbers at his standup desk, he can still be found creating wood furniture in his garage out of reclaimed wine barrels. Outside of work, Josh and his wife enjoy traveling, Pickleball, snowboarding, hiking, and surfing. While his three wonderful children now determine the frequency of those outings, they still manage to get out and enjoy the beautiful Oregon outdoors whenever possible. In addition, they are active in ministry and offer continual support to Christ Sanctuary International, an empowering ministry on a mission to build schools and teach life skills to the impoverished region of Kampala, Uganda. Josh is the volunteer secretary for Christ Sanctuary International, and is responsible for all financial matters of the organization, in addition to serving on the board of directors.

I was born in McMinnville and raised on a farm south of town. I graduated from McMinnville High School and went directly into full time work helping the office staff at the John Deere Dealership here in town. I have worked at various jobs in and around McMinnville until a friend needed help moving to Everett, Washington. After experiencing Everett I ended up moving there and stayed for six years after finding work in the insurance industry in Seattle. Eventually I moved from Everett to Newport, Oregon where I worked in the tourist trade for a number of years. I moved back to McMinnville after 20 years of hopping around the Pacific Northwest, got married and became a grandmother all in about three years.
I was hired by Fitzpatrick, Countryman & McKenzie in 1998 and have been here ever since. I help the Accountant's any way I can and am an in house QuickBooks Pro-Advisor. I am also the lead-person for Payroll services and support for many of our clients.
I have had the privilege of growing up and living most of my life in Yamhill County.
I have been with Fitzpatrick, Johnson & Associates CPAs for almost a decade now working in payroll, bookkeeping, and tax preparation during the busy season. My favorite parts of my job are my clients and coworkers; I get to work with great people!
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, and being at the beach.
I was first introduced to McMinnville when my parents and siblings moved here from Eureka, California, where I grew up. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Wheaton College (IL) and returned to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2001.
I worked as an Oregon Licensed Tax Preparer from 2001-2005, as well as tutoring students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT. After a decade raising and homeschooling my two children, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Western Governors University in November 2018. I have worked for Fitzpatrick, Johnson & Associates CPAs since January 2019 providing quality control for all tax returns prepared by the firm. I also assist with bookkeeping, tax preparation, and payroll services. I appreciate the variety of tasks and the congenial environment of a small-town accounting firm.
Outside of work, I enjoy time spent with my husband and children: at swim meets or dance competitions, at home playing games or reading, and when time allows, exploring state and national parks. We are active members of First Presbyterian Church of McMinnville and value the vibrant sense of community in Yamhill County.
